The Lover of People

On the occasion of his fifties anniversary of religious and missionary life, Fr Joseph Ukelo launched his biography written by Fr Guido Oliana. The book is a sort of memorial of the action of grace in his life and mission. It portrays Fr. Joseph as an honest and courageous missionary who has been faithful to his religious and missionary vocation by means of all the events and situations he experienced in Sudan, South Sudan and South Africa.

The event took place at the provincial house on Saturday 13^th April. Professor Dr. Peter Gumbo was the main speaker and, as a member of the Pari community, presented the significance of Fr Ukelo’s vocation in his historical, cultural and social context, and his contribution for the country and the Church at large. We hope that his life witness might become a role model for many young people of South Sudan.
